UK ETS

Participating in the UK Emissions Trading Scheme (UK ETS): Added further information on how free allocation for operators of installations will work. We aim to publish an Allocation Table containing each installation’s free allocation by 14 May 2021. If you are included in the table, you must submit a verified Activity Level Data Report by 30 June 2021. From 2022, free allocation will be allocated on or before 28 February of each calendar year.

Economic Partnership Agreement

Memorandum of understanding between the UK and Pacific states on the Economic Partnership Agreement: Updated section 4: termination section of both MoUs to show that the termination date for the memorandums has been extended from 3 months to 6 months from them coming into effect.

UK/EU social security arrangement

Social security arrangements between the UK and the EU: staff guide: Removed example at paragraph 42 of chapter 1 about someone without the right of permanent residence in the UK who later is absent for the UK for longer than 2 years because it was incorrect.

Living in Finland: Healthcare section updated including guidance on the S1 form and applying for EHIC and GHIC cards; working in Finland section updated with link to Department for International Trade (DIT) guidance on working or providing services and link to DIT guidance on recognition of professional qualifications; and education section updated with information on studying in Finland and funding eligibility for students.

Living in Germany: Visas and residency section has new guidance for visits over 90 days or working; healthcare section updated on the S1 form, EHIC and GHIC cards; working in Germany section updated with new link; education section updated on funding eligibility, and new link to guidance on recognition of professional qualifications.
