High Value Trader Support for New Border Processes: The Field Force Support Programme 

The Field Force Support Programme is offered by the Cabinet Office to support businesses that trade over £250,000 of goods with the EU each year.  

The support available ranges from invitations to specialist events, 1-to-1 query resolution, more access to business case studies and sector-specific guidance from policy experts.  

To be part of this programme you will need to answer some questions on your business and the goods you trade in.

UPDATED: New documents about the Trade and Cooperation Agreement between the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the European Union: Three new supporting documents have been made available: 

  • Letter from European Commission Vice-President Šefčovič proposing extension of provisional application of UK-EU Trade and Cooperation Agreement.

  • Letter from Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster agreeing to the extension of provisional application of UK-EU Trade and Cooperation Agreement.

  • Draft decision of the UK-EU Partnership Council extending provisional application of the UK-EU Trade and Cooperation Agreement.

Business Support Helplines

There are new rules for businesses doing business with the EU from 1 January, and you need to take action now.  To help you, a helpline has been set up.  For English businesses, the Business Support Helpline can help you identify the actions you need to take. Similar helplines are available for Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales.

  • NEW: For importers of food and drink products from the EU to GB: New dates have been added for webinars about import of products, animals, food and feed systems (IPAFFS). These webinars are on 4 March and 5 March, and you can sign up for these here

  • NEW: HMRC webinar on customs import declarations on 5 March (11:45 – 12:45) or 10 March (1:45 – 2:45) register for information on how to make customs import declarations on controlled goods and on non-controlled goods by the end of June 2021, helping you to understand what’s needed for simplified declarations, supplementary declarations, and delayed import declarations.   • NEW: HMRC: Trader responsibilities when using an intermediary: A webinar explaining your responsibilities as a trader, if you choose to use an intermediary to complete import or export declarations for your business.
