Fashion Roundtable's CEO Tamara Cincik reflects on a week of press interviews, events and political deadlines

It’s fair to say this has been a busy week. From being interviewed by The Sunday Times Style and Vogue Business, to taking part in a podcast about manufacturing and Brexit for Make it British (an expo for UK manufacturing brands). With Brexit date set for this Friday at 11pm, there has been a lot of questions about what this means, where we are heading and what this means for you and your fashion business. In all honesty, we will wake up on Saturday with the UK and EU's relationship much the same as it was on Friday. As we are entering a transition period, this is now a vital time for the fashion industry to lobby for what it needs across education, visas, tariffs and freedom of movement. If you are interested in a corporate workshop or consultancy for your company about any aspect of Brexit and business, please email admin@fashionroundtable.co.uk to find out more.

I have also been back and forth to the Houses of Parliament discussing some upcoming work around ethics and sustainability in fashion. More on this very soon!

On Saturday, we hosted our sold out Power of Influence Q&A and workshop at The AllBright Mayfair, with inspiring workshops hosted by Clare Press and Navjyot Lehl, as well as a Q&A I moderated with Anne-Marie Curtis, the former Editor and Fashion Director of ELLE UK and Baroness Lola Young of Hornsey. I can honestly say how moved I am by the incredible messages and emails I have received from attendees who say how much they enjoyed themselves. This makes it all so worthwhile.

Thanks to Sarah Squires our guests enjoyed some lovely gifts. This is the first time we have had someone with her skills to focus on gifting and I can see it really makes a difference. Anyone coming to our LOVE IS LOVE Q&A and workshop event on 12th February in celebration of Valentine's Day and LFW will be able to enjoy more of her goody bag gifting.

Fashion Roundtable will be at The Sustainable Angle's Future Fashion Expo in Bloomsbury this week. I shall be moderating a talk on Wednesday "Responding to Planetary Emergency: How New Business Models and Circular Economy Models Can Help Make the Shift" and we will also have a stall alongside Clare Press, who is also speaking across the event this week. Please do come and find me— look out for the Fashion Roundtable stall.
