Hosted by Tamara Cincik FRSA, Founder and CEO of Fashion Roundtable and Founder of The Great British Wool Revival, alongside Dias Nurlanov, Founder of The Fashion People, the gathering brought together a diverse cross-section of changemakers shaping the future of fashion, retail and responsible business.
Set within the flourishing landscape of OmVed Gardens, the evening began with herbal teas and botanical refreshments, accompanied by guided tours of the gardens and seasonal flower crown making workshops. Guests then gathered for welcome remarks and conversation before a seated al fresco dinner celebrating the abundance of the season.
Attendees included Rosa Minney of UNIQLO, Phoebe Glover Minney, of With Nothing Underneath, Harriet Fletcher-Gilhuys of The Great British Wool Revival, Sarah Rose of Never Fully Dressed, Aydin and Angie Kurdash of Gina, Brontë Crouch of JW Anderson, Forbes contributor and author Jeetendr Sehdev, BBC broadcaster Aaron Akinyemi and other leaders from across fashion, media, sustainability and entrepreneurship.
The event highlighted the growing importance of creating spaces for meaningful dialogue across sectors at a time when the fashion industry continues to navigate questions around sustainability, responsible growth, craftsmanship, heritage, circularity and community building.
Tamara Cincik FRSA, Founder and CEO of Fashion Roundtable said:
"Fashion Roundtable's partnership with The Fashion People is about bringing policy and practical solutions together. As new product responsibility legislation emerges across Europe, businesses need support navigating change whilst creating long-term value. Collaboration across industry has never been more important."
Dias Nurlanov, Founder of The Fashion People, said:
"Circularity is no longer a future ambition; it is becoming a business necessity. We are proud to work alongside Fashion Roundtable to help brands prepare for a more transparent, responsible and value driven future."
The evening also provided an opportunity to celebrate the progress made through Fashion Roundtable's ongoing initiatives, including The Great British Wool Revival, which continues to champion British wool, support rural economies and reconnect consumers with the value of natural fibres.
As the sun set over the gardens, conversations continued around the dinner table, with guests exchanging ideas on innovation, circularity, retail, media, education, policy and the role that nature can play in shaping healthier and more resilient business practices.
The Summer Solstice gathering reflects Fashion Roundtable's wider mission to bring together policymakers, industry leaders, educators and innovators to shape a more sustainable and prosperous future for fashion, whilst reinforcing The Fashion People's commitment to advancing circularity, resale and responsible growth.
