It’s no new news that fashion is undergoing its most significant regulatory shift to date. Earlier this year, the European Commission adopted new measures under the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR) to prevent the destruction of unsold apparel, clothing, accessories and footwear. While these new rules came into play for a number of reasons (waste prevention, reduction in environmental degradation etc), the market advantage of adopting a circular economy is perhaps the most compelling for brands and one which must not be missed.
