Fashion Roundtable and The Fashion People Celebrate Secondhand September with Exclusive Evening at The Conduit
Industry leaders gather for an evening of conversation, canapés and circularity.
London — Fashion Roundtable and The Fashion People hosted an invitation-only evening at The Conduit in Covent Garden on Wednesday 16th September, marking Secondhand September and bringing together leaders from across fashion, retail and sustainability for an evening of connection and conversation.
Hosted by Tamara Cincik, CEO of Fashion Roundtable and Founder of The Great British Wool Revival, alongside Dias Nurlanov, Founder of The Fashion People, the evening also featured Fashion Director Karen Binns as guest of honour.
Attendees included Victoria Jenkins of Unhidden, Alison Hargreaves and Theo Katsoras of Grenson, Tessa Wilson and Fleur Cook of Fairfax and Favor, Siobhan O’Neill founder of jewellery brand Sweetpea, Angela Baidoo of Trendmaison, Nancy Stannard and influencer Style by Nana, as well as other leaders from across fashion, media, sustainability and entrepreneurship.
Held at The Conduit over canapés from the venue's new Michelin-starred chef, Will Devlin, the evening sparked a substantive conversation on circularity, responsible fashion and the growing momentum behind second-hand and resale.
The gathering builds on Fashion Roundtable's ongoing partnership with The Fashion People, which brings together policy and practical solutions for the industry as it navigates new product responsibility legislation and the shift towards more circular business models.
Tamara Cincik said Secondhand September was a moment to celebrate how far the conversation around circularity had come, and how much further it still had to go. She added that bringing together voices like Karen Binns and the team at The Fashion People, in a space as considered as The Conduit, was exactly the kind of cross-sector dialogue the industry needed.
Dias Nurlanov, Founder of The Fashion People, said circularity was no longer a future ambition but a business necessity. He added that he was proud to mark the moment alongside Fashion Roundtable to help prepare brands for a more transparent, responsible and value driven future.
